Maximum wave heights

For deep water the calculation rule gives the expected value for the maximum wave height in a storm or the maximum wave height, given an exceedence probability 'p', in which the wave height must be Rayleigh-distributed. (The data set of wave heights set out on Rayleigh-paper gives a straight line. Moreover deep water waves are usually Rayleigh distributed.) In addition the maximum wave height for a specific wave length (for wave breaking caused by steepness) and the maximum wave height for a specific water depth (for breaking waves) are given.
