Forces by wind and flow

Forces caused by wind and flow:

These forces will occur if an ice mass attaches itself to a structure and does not move in relation to the structure. The total force is then determined by: (p1) the friction force resulting from water flowing along the underside of the ice mass; (p2) the flow pressure on the side of the ice mass that is facing the direction of flow; (p3) the horizontal component of the weight of the ice mass caused by the slope of the water surface; (p4) the friction force caused by the wind blowing across the surface of the ice mass.
