Ice thickness

Ice thickness: see [a]

For a stagnant basin in which the water temperature remains close to freezing point and the air temperature lies below freezing point the thickness of the ice can be determined as a function of Sg:

Here it is assumed that the ice is sea ice with an ice salt content of 4 ‰ a density of 920 kg/m3.
In which:

In this equation a linearisation between two measuring points is applied.
In this is : Vw: wind speed [m/s]
