Manoeuvring ships
In the prediction of the flow velocities in the propeller jet a distinction is made between inflow velocities behind manoeuvring ships and those behind sailing ships. Both the flow velocity towards the bank and that along the bottom the bottom can be calculated. The equations are valid for the situation in which the sailing line of the ship is parallel to the bank.
